A good Integrative Medicine approach can help you heal from or live better with a wide variety of medical conditions, without always needing to use drugs. Pharmaceuticals certainly have their place in medicine, but they carry more risk and side effects than natural medicines, and don't always need to be first line of treatment.
If you have symptoms or illnesses that have not been well-treated with conventional medicine, are on too many medications, or are taking medications to treat side effects of other medications, you owe it to yourself to have a good Integrative Medicine doctor on your side.
You will be amazed at what your body can do when it is properly supported.
My long-time approach starts by making sure you have had the best medical care possible then adds a healing-focused, whole person approach aimed at supporting your innate healing abilities. We do that through the intelligent use of nutrition, mind/body medicine, movement and body work, and traditional healing practices like acupuncture.
I have been a Medical Doctor since 1970, and an acupuncturist since 1972. I have worked with, learned from, and taught many of the major thought leaders in the holistic and now integrative medicine field, and work to bring the top level of expertise to every patient I see. I have a lot of hard-won experience in what works and what doesn't, and can help you make sure that you are getting the safest and most effective care available.
I welcome patients with difficult, unusual, and complex situations, as well as patients with common but sometimes difficult to treat problems like back and neck pain, headaches, irritable bowel syndrome, and autoimmune disease. I also I am happy to talk with you before you come in to make sure that my practice is right for you.
